This weekend I went exploring around Gloucester Road in Bristol, looking for some bits and pieces for my new house. I managed to spot these vintage patterns for £1 each in a charity shop - bargain! I haven’t used patterns as yet but thought they would be fun to try once I get more experience. My favourite is the baggy shirt on the far left; I’m thinking a nice tartan print to team with leggings. Which one do you prefer?
So, this is what has been occupying me for the past few days - I’ve made a new, shimmering green skirt with a matching belt which laces at the back! I was originally going for a high waist skirt, but due to not really planning things out beforehand that didn’t work out, so I had to make the skirt and belt in two different pieces. Still, turned out all right in the end. It’s not completely finished, I still need to put on some decorative trims here and there (I’m thinking dark brown lace), but I haven’t found anything I like yet. Once it’s done I’ll take a proper photo. Pretty pleased with my efforts so far!
